Proclamation World Philosophy Day
  • 29th March, 2018

Philosophy Day at UNESCO has been celebrated every year since 2002, on the third Thursday of November, both at Headquarters and in the field, under the Organization’s regular programme. In a letter dated 19 May 2004, Mr Mohamed Achaari, Minister of Culture of the Kingdom of Morocco, submitted to the Director-General for consideration a proposal to establish a world philosophy day, at the end of the deliberations of the third session of the Rencontres du Printemps de la Philosophie, organized by the Association des Amis de la Philosophie and held in the city of Fez, Morocco, on 9 and 10 March 2004.

Let us support the World Philosophical Forum in Malaysia that will be held in November 15 2018 in Kuala Lumpur. As the Chairman of the Gusi Peace Prize it is with my pleasure to support the cause of the incoming conference of the World Philosophical Forum in Kuala Lumpur. Let us unite together to make this international event laudable and successful. This is a gift to our generation beyond the generations. This is a fabric of a great society particularly in this region. Dato’ Dr. Halo-N being the Chairman of World Philosophical Forum in Malaysia should be supported by all of us. So we could promote tourism during the Philosophical Day in the entire region by bringing people from different part of the world. With my very best wishes.
